Lisa Coyle

W 12:00pm ALIGN

F 12:00 DEEP STRETCH + YOGA NIDRA

Lisa has been a practitioner of yoga for over 35 years and has been teaching for almost 20 years.  Lisa’s classes are centered around the fundamental idea in yoga that there is a place in each of us that endures and is un-changing.  Our lives are full of ups and downs, of pleasure and pain, of joy and despair.  Yoga science is the methodology that empowers us to access that unchanging place of wholeness in the midst of all the change in our lives.

In Lisa’s class you will use the postures to challenge the physical body in a way that also trains the nervous system to respond to stress and the challenges of our lives.  Lisa uses her training as an Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist to share practices that balance and enliven the physical and energetic bodies.  Students will find the format very similar to other Flow practices, with more of an emphasis on the strength and stability found through holding poses for longer periods of time..

Lisa teaches with love and respect for the practice and for the lineage of her teacher, Yogarupa Rod Stryker who teaches from an unbroken lineage of Sri Vidya from the Himalayan masters of India.  She holds certifications as a Para Yoga Nidra teacher, a Yoga4Cancer teacher, a Holistic Health Coach and Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist.

Susie teaches a creative and vigorous vinyasa flow grounded in alignment and breath.   She empowers students to cultivate flexibility, strength and focus on and off the mat.

Yoga found Susie as she was downshifting from corporate lawyer to stay at home mom of three. Vinyasa yoga hooked her from the first Om. Susie loves the physical challenge of yoga, but it is the mental confrontation and resulting clarity and quiet, which draw her to the mat every day.

Susie completed her 200-hour training with Susie Caicedo and has continued her studies under Jason Crandall and Cicely Milne. She is a committed yoga and meditation student and is grateful for and inspired by these teachers and many others.

Kimberly Dotson

Sun 10:00a SWEAT

Growing up in Dallas, Kim was always an active youth, gravitating toward activities that required self-discipline and mind body awareness. Kim felt a huge void when those activities came to a close when she graduated from UT in Austin in 2005. When she moved back to Dallas in 2006, she began to notice an increase in her anxiety, fatigue, and sleep disturbances. A friend encouraged her to try yoga and thought that it would be therapeutic and beneficial to her overall health and well-being. After Kim took her very first yoga class she was officially hooked on the ancient practice and the way it made her feel afterwards: physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally. Kim continued to maintain a daily practice for 10 years, and decided she wanted to dive deeper into the practice in order to share her love and passion for yoga with others.

Kim completed her 200hr teacher training program in June of 2016. In each of her classes, Kim creates an atmosphere where students feel supported and confident on their mat, no matter what their level of experience may be.

Ready for all the chill vibes? Danny’s playlists are on point and so are his Vinyasa classes. A little bit about our guy Danny:

About a decade ago, needing to get back in shape, Danny was prodded into a yoga class at the gym. Little did he know it would be the beginning of a whole new chapter of his life. He found yoga to be the best workout he’d ever had, increasing strength as well as flexibility — a key balance that he’d never before achieved — and the results were remarkable. It didn’t take long to get hooked as his body went through a transformation, and eventually his mind followed suit. He found a little more clarity and calm amidst a stressful job in advertising. Sticking with it, eventually his practice went from a workout to becoming an integral part of his life.

In 2016 Danny took the next step and did his teacher training under Amy Johnson and Jayme Bushmaier-Davis and has been teaching ever since, hoping to spread the joy of this not-so-secret wonder called yoga.

Erin’s yoga classes are straightforward and powerful, drawing from Baptiste style vinyasa flow. It is accessible to beginners, but will also challenge seasoned practitioners. You will sweat, smile, and maybe struggle along the way…but she promises that with a consistent practice, you will grow

Yoga has been a meaningful presence in Erin’s life since she took her first class in 2000. It has meant different things to her at different times, but it took root and became a part of Erin since the day her yogic journey began.  About 10 years into Erin’s practice, she knew she wanted to teach and share the healing power of yoga with others. In 2016, she finally took the leap, completing her 200 hour RYT training. In 2020 she went back for more, as teachers do, and achieved her goal of becoming at 500hr RYT.

Iris Haftlang

Sat 10:00-11:15 ALIGN + RESTORE

Like so many, Iris’ yoga journey began with the desire to lose weight and it worked, which was great! But more exciting than the physical transformation, was the mental shift that occurred for her almost immediately.

Iris didn’t realize how “stuck” she was until she got quiet in yoga. She was finally able to find some freedom. Freedom from her judgmental thoughts, her berating self talk, biases, desperate need to fit in and be liked, her social anxiety and her lack of energy. With consistent practice, her body began to open up in ways she never imagined possible and her mind too began to open up to new possibilities.

“I knew after only a handful of practices that I wanted to help other people experience the shift and the joy of yoga. I practiced as much as I could and within a year I was entrenched in my very first 200 hour yoga teacher training with Sheri Cherokee of Alpha Omega Yoga. I hit the ground running and have since undergone subsequent trainings with Gaia Flow Yoga and Sadie Nardini. I continue my education by attending classes, workshops and retreats offered by my inspiring fellow yogis, practicing with my community as often as I can.” The stillness that yoga brings is a filter for the noise we all carry around in our head. That noise is the constant conversation we have with ourselves. The conversation that can harbor our fears instead of our love if we aren’t vigilant.

There are so many things we can do to foster positive change for ourselves, and yoga is just one tool. None of us are on an identical journey, but our paths are intertwined.

CO-OWNER of Good Vibes Yoga

200HR & 300HR Program Director & Lead

My yoga path began when I started dating my now husband, Dan Schulz (co-owner and production manager). He had been practicing for years and early in our dating life he said “I think you’d like yoga. Give it thirty days, I think you’ll like it.”

After a few years, I decided to become a yoga teacher to share the new found feeling of capability and strength with others.

As a dance teacher and former dance studio owner, yoga and the business of yoga feel natural to me. My classes are challenging, calm and have a very rhythmic feel to them. When I’m not teaching my number one role at Good Vibes Yoga is to keep the community vibe alive and keep those towels clean!!

I teach the early-bird morning yoga classes which are grounding and steady. A Perfect way to start the day.

Maddie Goff

Life brought me to yoga at the young age of 16.

At the time, my yoga mat was the only place I felt not only safe, but also strong. When I practiced- I was no longer a victim, but a student of a spiritual practice that had power to heal far beyond anything I could have ever imagined. This is why I teach...

I believe in the healing power of this ancient Eastern practice with everything in my being and I want everyone to have access to the freedom and joy that it brings.

I believe that yoga is medicine for the body & soul and often the lessons we learn on our mat translate to life. “ If we can learn to breathe through difficult poses on our mat- we can learn to breathe through difficult situations in our life.”

My prayer is that anyone who takes my class will walk away feeling more at ease, more at peace, and more connected to who they are and what their work is in this world.

I did my RYT 200hr teacher training in Orange, CA through Cloud Nine Yoga School, and then went on to teach at Chapman University and in the surrounding Orange County area.

After moving back to Dallas post- Covid- I taught online for Arts Mission Oak Cliff and then joined the City Yoga team. During this time I also pursued my Reiki Level 1 and Level 2 Certifications. I am now thrilled to be a part of the Good Vibes Community!!”

Yoga, to me, is therapy. We come to our mats with all sorts of stuff and nonsense that life hands to us.  On our mats, we connect with ourselves, our bodies and our breath and decide what we need to continue to carry and what can be left behind.  I have taught for 7 years and practiced for(almost)ever.  I love finding ways to help people feel better in the bodies. My classes lean towards light-hearted, challenging and fun with yoga wisdom sprinkled thru. I can’t wait to see you on your mat!!

Renee Austin

Sun 8:30am RESTORE

Courtney has been a practitioner of yoga since her teenage years, where she turned to the practice in the hopes that it would help with the flexibility she needed for competitive dance. She quickly discovered that yoga offers so much more than physical benefits and became an enthusiastic student of yoga, studying various styles such as Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Yin/Restorative. Yoga has remained a steady and consistent guiding light in Courtney's life, offering her peace, comfort, and stillness in trying or uncertain times.

Courtney completed her 200 HR Hatha Raja Yoga training in Scotland with her teacher Jo Lockhart, and has since gone on to complete a 50 HR qualification in Yin Yoga, as well as numerous posture and adjustment workshops. She has also trained in Yoga for Trauma, Yoga for Special Needs, and Chair-Based Yoga, and enjoys delivering class formats in styles that are not traditionally mat-based. Courtney's philosophy of yoga centers around the idea that the practice should be inclusive, accessible, and sustainable for all bodies and all minds. Courtney's classes focus on the relationship between breath and movement, gently challenging the physical body while drawing the practitioner back to the cognitive benefits of the practice.

A passionate Yoga teacher born and raised in Quito, Ecuador, Belen first discovered Yoga as a way to combine mental and physical exercise, and soon realized that those were only a small part of a broader lifestyle. Throughout her career, she has led beginner, intermediate, and advanced vinyasa flow classes as well as restorative, yin, and hatha yoga. To compliment her private and group yoga classes, Belen offers guided meditations focused on mindful breathing techniques and body sensations. She is passionate about creating awareness in the body and mind to cater to her students’ specific needs. A few years into her yoga career, Belen found Ayurveda — Yoga’s sister science. She has since become certified as an Ayurvedic Health Counselor. Belen brings her devotion to healing and managing a holistic lifestyle by offering support in preventive care, diet, and lifestyle. It brings her joy to see her students improving, overcoming and creating a harmonious and intuitive way of living. Julie Wright

GUEST TEACHER

Julie teaches from the ancient wisdom and weaves these messages into the practice that apply to daily life. She walks solid in her truth and guides students to use their practice to connect with their true Self; to embrace their authenticity and walk this path making their own unique footprints along the way. She is often unapologetically bold in her offerings but keeps it fun - as it is practice, not perfect. She still walks this earth for a reason, and she believes with all her heart it is to share this beautiful practice and carry the message of these precious teachings.

Presently she continues her training and certifications with Yogarupa Rod Stryker whose lineage honors the ancient teachings of yoga. Manorama also guides Julie on the path of higher learning.
